The Institute and Conference is sponsored by Northeastern State University and Oklahoma Institute for Learning Styles, and the ILSN. In addition to the five-day Dunn and Dunn Certification, we are offering conference workshops from both a domestic and international perspective. Teaching at risk (minorities, native Americans, immigrants, poverty, special ed, urban, rural, second, language learners); How to build schools that work; Leadership; Technology; LS in e-learning to name just a few of the many topics offered.
We offer you another exciting year for the ILSN Institute and Conference for learning-styles certification as well as relevant topics for 21st Century educators. This year’s special events are designed to bring attendees together to share the unique heritage of Oklahoma. After-hours events include a Cowboy Social with live music, dancing (lessons provided) and snacks. One evening will be devoted to celebrating Oklahoma's rich Native American culture. This night will feature a trip to the Capital of the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah (transportation provided). The visit to Cherokee Indian Country will include exploration of the Cherokee Ancient Village and Cherokee Cultural Center before concluding with a traditional Hog Fry dinner.
