Educators from Florida studies the use of Learning Styles in Denmark

Indian River State College - Ft. Pierce, Florida – United States

Learning Internationally about Learning Styles – Denmark!
May, 2011, Sandra Van Vorst of Indian River State College is taking a group of Pre-service Educators to Denmark to participate in Danish Classrooms. Students will be working with Danish Teachers and learning how they use Learning Styles in their classrooms. This cultural exchange will expand upon our pre-service teachers understanding that Learning Styles is a global theory applicable anywhere in the world and is expected to become an IRSC Exchange Program in the future.

Spreading the Word -
In a continued effort to encourage the use of Learning Styles in our community, Dr. Tina Hart and Professor Lorraine Coughlin at Indian River State College, have conducted 6 training sessions with teachers, students, and parents at St. Edward's Lower School and Parent's Association in Vero Beach Florida. Learning Styles preferences of all students are now being assessed at St. Ed's each year.
